After putting a lot of thought into what exactly to eat to improve my health, feel more energetic and also get back to a normal weight, I have decided that a Clean Diet is the way I want to go. I have tried many, many, many different diets and ways of eating and I found most of them were very restrictive and some quite frankly were ridiculous. I have tried weight watchers, herbal magic, low carb, atkins, new atkins, fit for life, paleo, southbeach, etc and I could never eat most of them for more than a few days, some I could manage for weeks but I it was very hard to do for me.
So I have decided to follow a clean eating diet plan. It does have lots of nutrient dense foods in it and I still use intuitive eating as well but it seems to be exactly what I have been looking for. I have also decided to track my food on one of those free programs which shows you how many calories and what nutrients are in the food I am eating, to see what I am really eating as well as how much I am eating and drinking and when exactly I am doing this. According to what I have read and the research I saw food tracking and diaries are a key to success with weight loss and because there are programs that you can use which do all the work, they take only a few minutes a day to do. I do them on my phone which has an app for it- easy peasy!
