After looking at so many diets and ways of eating over many years, I believe I have actually found a way of eating that not only can I follow as a lifestyle choice but that I really feel will be the answer to a healthier body, more energy and for the first time in a long time a feeling that I am in control of my food choices because of how I feel when I eat a Clean Eating approach. I have already noticed that I am less irritable and more calm inside by the food I have taken in over the past few days.
Clean Eating means eating whole, natural foods like vegetables, fruits, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates. It means staying away from ” junk food” which we find in our diets. So, no more man made bad fats( trans-fats, hydrogenated), man made sugar, white bread, preservatives and any other unnecessary fake ingredients. The best thought to remember is ‘ if it made by man, best not to eat it.’
Week 1- Add real fruits and real vegetables to each meal and snack you eat this week.
This seems achievable and easy to do and something that I can continue to follow over time.
It is going fairly well but certainly was not perfect. I have tried to add the fruits and vegetables to each meal and snack. Using a program online to track your food and drinks is easy and takes little time and it does really make you accountable to yourself when you have to write down what you ate and drank. It also makes you aware of what you are eating that is not as healthy and what is healthier for you. It makes you think about your portions too.
I am trying to drink more water too. I have read that it is good to drink half the value of your weight. So, for example if you weigh 200 pounds, you should drink 200 divided by 2 = 100 divided by 8 oz = 12.5( 8 oz) glasses of water daily.
The Clean Eating Diet Plan is not about depriving yourself. It’s not about having to give up one food group or another. Clean Eating is about what your body needs to thrive. As time goes by you will find out which foods are the lifeblood that make you whole and sustain you, and which foods to stay away from because of the way they harm and destroy your body.
You have one body you have it for life. If your body has to spend all its time trying to rid itself of the crap you have put into it, how will it perform at its best? Every time you eat and drink, it determines every moment of every day. It determines whether you are overweight, obese, or lean. It determines if you find yourself falling asleep after your lunch or you have energy to spare . When you give your body everything it needs, Your body will run along ever so smoothly you won’t even give it a second thought, when you give it everything it needs. Well until you see yourself in the mirror or as you walk by your reflection in a store window and think you look fabulous.
I am looking at clean eating to help me become healthy again and as a result of eating the clean eating way I will shed the weight I have put on my body in healthy way.
